On the occasion of the launch of season 4 of “The Intern” this evening on France 3, Michèle Bernier has teasé the twists and turns that await his character in these 8 episodes, and came back to us on the reasons for the success of the series. François Lefebvre / FTV AlloCiné : After four seasons of The Trainee, you always take as much pleasure to embody Constance Meyer ? Michèle Bernier : Yes, because it is a character that I like, which I’m very attached. I find that there is always an evolution that is interesting to play. Because even if she remains a trainee, it takes more and more initiatives, it is increasingly vital in the investigations. And then, in this season 4, it’s going to happen to him a lot of things. It will be particularly in danger, since it will be sequestered. And she will also be in doubt in relation to his marriage. Really, there are a thousand twists and turns and I know that the scriptwriters and the chain are really paying attention to what it always comes a whole bunch of things at Constance. You talk a lot with the authors of the things that you would like to play or the possible evolutions of your character ? Yes, of course. It is, as always, a few sessions in which authors bring me their ideas, and during which I can also share my desires or of my suggestions. Then they start to write and I do it very often returns. Whether comments are positive or negative. It is a real team effort today and I must say that we really are all on the same wave length, the string, the production, the writers, and me. You find out that Constance is a character that looks like you ? From the moment I incarnated, I have the impression that it is not very far away from me on some plans, that’s for sure. We share an optimism quite frenzied, empathy, and a certain want of justice I think. After that, the rest, of course, is the purview of fiction. But it is a character that I like a lot because it always seeks the truth. And this is a woman who is in the feeling and in the emotional. This side of Constance pleases me a lot. What according to you is that the series is a big success on France 3, while the series of police and judicial are quite numerous ? I have the impression that the modernism of Consistency is to have changed his life. Being an intern is fun at that age but at the same time it leaves a lot of freedom. And I find that they are able to mix a modern touch with a bit of humor and investigations. And then there was no romantic relationship between these two characters. It is nice to see a link that is created with someone very different. I really think that this is what makes the success of the series. Not to mention the family aspect, which, according to me, counts a lot in The Intern. This couple who loves, who through the trials of being always united. This family that supports. These are the things that matter to viewers because it’s good to see people who agree, who do things out of love for one or the other. This is not so common on television. François LEFEBVRE / FTV Before The Intern, you have held the main role of The whole family gets involved on France 2, which was stopped after only 7 episodes, while the hearings were not bad. This stop pretty brutal you surprised ? I was surprised, I was saddened. It has been a bit of a blast for all of us. It is a bit fallen out of the clouds, we don’t really understand what was happening. After that, we can tell you all that you want, there are certainly very good reasons for that the chain has decided it. But it is true at the same time that we had a little lost the essence of The whole family gets involved, with the quirky side of a funeral director and former sex workers who consoled themselves widows and widowers who had ended up a little disappear. The humorous side and dared no longer existed really in the series at the end and I think that is what he lacked and that we have not been able to find. You do since a few weeks, your big comeback single on stage with your show Live tomorrow ! at the Théâtre des Variétés. What is it that you wanted to tell with this new one-woman show ? A little ras-the-bowl to be in the passéisme permanently and see a world of media that we are constantly told that the end of the world comes, we can do nothing, and that we must be victims permanently. It started to attack us. We ended up saying “We are not going to go out of our home, we are not going to do anything”. While I think that the human being is capable of many things, both dramatic and positive. And therefore I had a desire to go into the positive. And it is the parties with Marie Pascale Osterrieth, who co-wrote and directed the show, on this idea that the “It was better before” is not necessarily true. It was better before what in the end ? At what time ? Before the invention of the wheel ? And I also wanted to give a positive message to the youth, because I speak a lot to the young in this show. I wanted to say, “Go ahead, go ahead, do not be afraid”. And at the same time I speak of the guilt of the people of my generation, who have perhaps not done enough attention, and have lived in a kind of selfish comfort, with all the progress that was happening. We had a beautiful we say “Attention, one day there will be more water, one day there will be too much plastic, one day this, one day it”, we didn’t listen and now you realize that it has a little exceeded the bounds, if not a lot. The show shall take notice of this and at the same time there’s this real desire to say “so now we’re going to do things, it will be necessary to move”. I wanted a true spectacle of hope for this return alone on stage after ten years. A tour is planned after the dates of paris ? Yes, the tour will start in the month of November until February-march 2020. Your daughter, Charlotte Gaccio, holds one of the main roles of Sam on TF1 for three years now. What are your thoughts on his career ? You advise a lot ? I advise if she asks me for it. I am not intrusive as a mother. She manages it rather not bad I think, and it’s also a good actress, really good. When she needs advice I give, but she is doing well all alone (laughs). You would like to play together one day in a series or a tv movie ? Why not, we are open. But should we be found to equal on a project. I would not want my daughter to have less to play than me for example. And a reunion on the screen or on the stage as a trio with Mimie Mathy and Isabelle de Botton you think about it ? It is in the pipes, but we can not find string that are interested. It is here, one expects answers, but it was obviously very desire to start something for all three.
